Yeung Wan's Art: Watercolor barn owl

Hello!

My name is Yeung Wan! I'm 18 and live in Singapore, though I was born in Hong Kong. I'm currently in my second year of Digital Animation at Singapore Polytechnic.

Drawing is my only passion, and it was apparent from young that I love to draw. I first got into drawing from reading manga and watching animes; however, my love for Disney and concept art quickly took over. I studied the artists' notes on each model sheet, especially Glen Keane's designs, in hope that I can learn to draw like them. Because of these two interests, I am already able to draw in two styles - manga, and Disney.

My interest in drawing and testing my limits took over, and I practiced drawing in a realistic style. These are mostly animal portraits and studies.

I do admit that my skills are not as good as others'; however, I do believe I have the potential to be one of the best. My art has improved tremendously within the year because of my dedication to improving myself. I am also able to push through problems and deliver good work.

I hope this website will be able to show anyone who stumbles upon it that I can do a variety of styles. I worked hard to improve my drawings on my own, because it is something I love. I hope you enjoy looking at my hard work!
